From the preview, this appears to be an illustrated novel, which is quite cool! How did this one come about?

I don't know how it came about... I only know from the point it was submitted... The writer/illustrator will be registering later. And I'm sure he'll be able to answer this question better than I could.

I CAN tell you this story is multi-layered, and Jon has a lot of plans for this and related stories.

I'm excited to see the first book in this format from CDP. I think bringing back illustrations in novels is a fantastic idea--and another great way to bridge the gap between prose readers and comic readers.
